Welcome to SubTube. By downloading, installing, or using this application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Description of Service

SubTube is a mobile application that:

Connects to your YouTube account (via Google OAuth) to read your channel subscriptions
Displays recent videos from your subscribed channels
Generates AI-powered text summaries of video content
Provides text-to-speech playback of summaries in multiple languages (Polish, English, Spanish)
Optionally sends email digests of recent summaries

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use SubTube. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement.

3. Account & Authentication

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google credentials.
You grant SubTube read-only access to your YouTube subscriptions. You can revoke this access at any time via Google Account Permissions.
You must not share your account or allow unauthorized access.

4. AI-Generated Content — Disclaimer

Summaries are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain errors, inaccuracies, omissions, or misrepresentations of the original video content.

AI summaries are provided for informational convenience only and should not be relied upon as accurate, complete, or authoritative representations of the original content.
We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or quality of any AI-generated summary.
Always refer to the original YouTube video for authoritative content.
We are not responsible for any decisions made based on AI-generated summaries.

5. YouTube Content & Third-Party Rights

All video content, titles, thumbnails, and metadata belong to their respective creators and are subject to YouTube's Terms of Service.
SubTube does not host, download, or redistribute any video content. We only access publicly available metadata via the YouTube Data API.
AI summaries are derivative works created for personal, non-commercial use.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App for any illegal purpose
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App
Use automated scripts or bots to access the App
Redistribute, sell, or commercially exploit AI-generated summaries
Interfere with the App's infrastructure or other users' experience
Violate YouTube's Terms of Service or Google's API Terms

7. Email Digest

The email digest feature sends summary content to an email address you specify.
You are responsible for providing a valid email address that you own or have permission to use.
You can disable the digest at any time in the App settings.

8. Intellectual Property

The SubTube application, its design, code, and branding are the property of the App operator.
AI-generated summaries are provided for your personal use only.
YouTube content and creator brands remain the property of their respective owners.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

The App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI summaries will be accurate.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App.
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

10. Service Availability

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App (or any feature) at any time without notice.
We are not liable for any loss resulting from service interruptions, including YouTube API quota limits or Google service outages.

11. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your data.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and revoke Google access.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your cached data will be deleted within 30 days.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the member state of the App operator's residence. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be communicated via the App. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
